Kolmannskuppe is an abandoned town that has been swallowed up by the desert. It is about 15KM from Luderitz in southern Namibia and well worth a trip, if you are in the neighborhood.
Thanks! It really is a cool place to visit if difficult to get to. Luckily, I worked in Namibia for a while and was able to make the trip. I also really appreciate that you appreciate B&W- it lends itself to structure and form without the distraction of color.
Black and white really appeals to me. Of course, it’s all we had when I was growing up, but it was easy to make the switch to colour – the blues of the sky, the greens of the trees and grass – but black and white, with good contrast, will always be my first love 🙂
These are very impressive photos! It is as if nature is taking back its world!
Sorry for the first comment, it came from the clipboard… can you please delete that? Thank you!
Impressive photos! To me it seems as if nature is taking back its world. I think it was a beautiful old house and I am happy that it is still preserved!
I am sure it can tell a lot! It sounds like an interesting destination!
Best wishes, Merle
Fine photos! I love the different textures and patterns, and the strong contrast.

I also, post/play Gurushots (https://gurushots.com/mark.schlink/photos) and B&W is decidedly less popular there.
