The Khorezm Fortresses, October, 2021, 42°00’03.6″N 60°42’02.5″E- ish
Last month we drove around to see the remains of mud-brick fortresses, some as old as the 4th century BC, that Genghis Khan’s destroyed.
Kolmannskuppe, October, 2017 26°42’14.0″S 15°13’58.2″E
Kolmannskuppe is an abandoned town that has been swallowed up by the desert. It is about 15KM from Luderitz in southern Namibia and well worth a trip, if you are in the neighborhood.
