Thanks, it was a pretty fun day out and about in Tashkent. We moved here a couple months ago and between work and quarantine, we had not seen much. The amount of detail work is amazing. I will need some more practice to get what I want out of my photography here, please stay tuned…
Thanks for taking the time, you know what is crazy about that photo? If is at 20% resolution. The original was too big to put on the blog. Your most recent photo of clouds on the weekend in black and white was just stunning.
Just tuned in to see what you and family were up to and where you are now. What an exciting life you all have. Envy your adventures. Pretty much same as our son Joel and family lead with lots of hiking and outdoor trips. But theirs is in WA state area. They like it there, in spite of the rain. I’m going to have to read up on the country where you are now. (I’m not going to try to spell it)
Hi Mr. McCune, It is an amazing place full interesting geography and serious history. At one point in time Samarkand (about 4 hours from where we live) was amongst the most important and richest cities in the world (I just returned from there and will be posting photos shortly). If you want a good starting place about the region, check out The Silk Roads by Peter Frankopan. I get why Joel would love the Pacific Northwest, we moved out there when I was in Jr. High and then moved back to Missouri after my Freshman year. I never really got over it…
Love the details and glimpses of life. Thanks for sharing!

Great photos! I agree with Rob about your first photo, and I love the extra detail in the second Mosque photo.

The big opening photo is gigantic!
It takes time to study all the details.
It is very exciting to be living there.
Warm greetings from Germany
